The purpose of the Study is to devise a Waste Management Strategic Plan that is technically sound, fiscally responsible and inclusive of public opinion. The Waste Management Strategic Plan is subject to an individual Environmental Assessment, which is governed by the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act (EAA).

In accordance with the Environmental Assessment Act, the Bonnechere Valley Waste Management Strategic Plan will evaluate several waste management alternatives and alternative methods from technical, economic and public opinion perspectives.
