They are happy to explain how things are done on their property. That's the added benefit to a farmers' market - you can meet the actual vendor, ask questions and make sure of what you are eating. This is important if you are concerned about healthy food. Market Location & HoursLocated at Legion Memorial Field in Eganville across from St. James Catholic Church (on the same grounds as the Eganville Curling Club, ball diamonds, soccer field, spash pad and tennis court). We will be featuring vegetable and flower seedlings, and perennials. Look for summer reading for children and adults in our Book Nook at bargain prices. Donations of previously enjoyed pocket books and children’s books are appreciated. June 30 - Canada Day We will be serving cake with fresh stawberries and cream to celebrate our Nation's birthday! August 4 - Junior Vendors Day Young vendors, aged 18 and under, will join the regular vendors in offering their homegrown or homemade items for sale. A great experience for our next generation of vendors and now an annual event. (interested Junior Vendors: please see the application and information under the Application tab.) Mid August - We will be getting peaches from Niagara again this year. Dates to follow... September 1 - Garlic & Herb Day A do-not-miss for lovers of garlic and/or herbs. Available fresh and in many other items.
September 22 - Redneck Chili Cook-off So this year we will have a modified Chili day. Astrids' Kitchen will be serving Chili and cornbread:)
October 6 - Thanksgiving Harvest Festival This is the last market day of the 2023 season. Look for your favourite fall vegetables for your Thanksgiving table and items to stock your freezer.

WHAT: A new book club is beginning in Eganville WHERE: at the Echo Centre, 30 Bell St. WHEN: the last Monday of each month, at 12:30 pm, although you are welcome to bring your lunch and eat there at noon. It's a great chance to meet people, socialize and hear about some great books. Just come and tell us about a book you read recently, or maybe something you read a while ago that you really enjoyed - give us a short summary so others know if it might interest them. If you own the book and are willing to lend it, bring it along but be sure your name is in it if you'd like it returned. Tell us about good books you've borrowed from the library too.
