Zoning Amendment

The purpose of this amendment is to rezone the subject property to permit a new residential building containing four (2-bedroom) dwelling units.  The new zoning for the property will also recognize the existing, undersized lot frontage and permit a reduced side yard setback of 2.4 metres from the east side lot line and at the front southwest corner of the proposed building, and permit six parking spaces in the front yard.

The effect to the amendment is to rezone the lands from Residential One (R1) to a Residential Two-Exception Nine (R2-E9) Zone.  All of the other provisions of the Zoning By-law will apply.

Subject lands are: Part Lots 7 and 8, Block A, Plan 16 and Part Lots 7 and 8, Block A, Campbell, Plan 16, geographic Village of Eganville, in the Township of Bonnechere Valley, located on Wallace Street.

Council meets twice a month on the first and third Tuesdays.  We start with a committee meeting at 1:30 pm and this is where most of our discussions take place.  All meetings are open, and the public is encouraged to attend.  This section is designed to let you know some of the topics that we are or will be discussing. Even if you cannot attend a meeting, we would love to hear your thoughts.  Letters and emails are circulated to all council members and read. We can do a better job with your help!

If you have an issue that you would like to speak to Council about, all you need to do is become a Delegate. Contact our office for available times and dates.

*Note: The next meeting of Council will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 with the Committee Meeting at 1:30 pm and the Regular Meeting at 5:30 pm. This meeting will be held via Zoom Conferencing and will be live streamed on the Township of Bonnechere Valley's Youtube Channel.
