George and Elizabeth Wilcox founded George's Service Center in 1969, originally as a new and used snowmobile dealership in Eganville, Ontario. This store was situated downtown Eganville (operating as a Service Center, with a dry cleaning business attached to it). With so many lakes surrounding Eganville, they decided to add boats and pontoons to the mix. And so, in 1980 they decided to move just outside Eganville and built on a larger piece of land. Jeff Wilcox joined the family business in 1985 and took over as manager in 1990. George's brought on new pontoons, pwcs, boats and used boats, pontoons and pwcs as well as new atv's and used atv's. We have had a long outstanding relationship with Honda power equipment and power sports. George's history began with Arctic Cat and Polaris and then took on Bombardier Recreation Products in 2003. This location has seen many changes but we are confident that we carry the lines that are needed and wanted for this area. We still have a Service Department that is the envy of other dealerships here and in the surrounding cities. Our first original boat line, Tracker Marine, is sold with the same confidence that we sold with it thirty years ago. The original shop still stands, with the fire place continuing to be a beacon to snowmobilers on a cold day. One major difference is that you can now come in and rent sea doo's for visiting relatives when they come to the lake.
