Short-Term Rentals

The Township of Bonnechere Valley supports the enjoyment of our peaceful community and natural areas.  Following the rules and being considerate of your neighbours will allow all residents and visitors to enjoy themselves.

Roads and Safety

  • Respect road safety, follow all traffic laws and adhere to posted speed limits.  Speeding and traffic violations are enforced by Ontario Provincial Police.
  • For immediate safety concerns and violations in progress please call 911.  For assistance with ongoing issues and general questions please call the OPP non-emergency line 1-888-310-1122.

Outdoor Fires

  • Campfires are permitted all year unless a complete fire ban is in place. See rules and regulations for campfires here.
  • Fire ban status will be updated on the Township of Bonnechere Valley Township website and Facebook page, as well as the Bonnechere Valley Fire Department Facebook page.

Noise

  • Excessive noise is a disturbance to your neighbours.
  • Radios and loud music, animals, motor vehicles, power/motor devices, watercraft and construction are all noises that are likely to cause a disturbance in excess and/or at undesirable times.
  • Be mindful that noise carries over bodies of water.
  • Excessive noise is prohibited between the hours of 11:00pm and 7:00am.

Parking

  • All vehicles shall be parked in accordance with the parking by-law.
  • Parking in any way which contravenes the parking by-law may result in a fine or a tow.

Animal Control

  • All pets must be kept under control by the owner.  Do not let your pets roam at large.
  • Dogs must be leashed when not on the owner’s property or the property of someone who has consented.
  • Please pick up after your pets.
